Bono Acceptance Speech

The Bono Acceptance Speech at the NAACP Awards is my favorite. The musician and activist received the Chairman's Award during the March 2, 2007 live broadcast of the 38th NAACP Image Awards.
Bono has been an inspiration to many around the world through his music and humanitarian efforts. Effect can be seen in his speech topics at the end.
The NAACP honored him "in recognition of the difference he has made and to acknowledge his ongoing campaigning to actively engage Americans from all walks of life in the fight against extreme poverty and the global AIDS pandemic.", according to Board Chairman Julian Bond.
The NAACP is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization, founded in 1909.
Bono has lobbied presidents and world leaders - along with the heads of many other G8 nations - to cancel the debts of the world's poorest countries and provide $25 billion in additional annual development assistance to Africa by 2010.
In the receiving wording he continues his efforts. This Bono acceptance is some kind of a lecture about the speech topics awareness and the fight against extreme poverty in development regions.

1. Make up public speaking stuff to seem important ( e.g. "I once wen't to the moon")
2. Do not be your self because no one cares.
